Tuesday evening wrap-up
Tuesday, May 19th, 2009 07:47 pmI see a bunch of new names on the f'list. If you're of a mind, step up and introduce yourself, but in any case, welcome!
Quiet at the day-job today, and I expect it to be quieter tomorrow. This is not a complaint.
From the Department of Boy, That's A Load Off My Mind, it transpires that the Fledgling ARCs are ready, but the galleys are not. Which means I'm free to concentrate entirely on Mouse and Dragon. I'd like to think that I can wrap up the first draft by the end of the upcoming long weekend. Might could, I guess. I had a pretty good run at the keyboard today, for it being a school day and all. If I can manage 2400 words Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and then run really hard Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, I might be able to do it, characters willing, and not forgetting that there's a Hard Bit coming up. We'll see.
Steve and I have been watching The Adventures of Briscoe County, Jr. -- saw the pilot a couple, three weeks ago and the first two episodes Sunday night. I'm having a good time with it and will definitely let Netflix send along the next disk, but I do have to say -- John Bly/Billie Drago? Is a Very Scary Man.
The cats are trying to seduce me into lying down on the couch with the African deployed. I think I could be convinced...
