In addition to attending the World Science Fiction Convention (schedule below) in Montreal, August 6 -- 10, 2009, Steve Miller and Sharon Lee will be literary Guests of Honor at the following upcoming science fiction and fantasy conventions:
Oasis 23, May 28 -- 30, 2010, Orlando, Florida
DucKon 19, June 18 -- 20, 2010, Naperville, Illinois (http://www.duckon.org/)
Double Vision Stuck at Binders
Double Vision, an omnibus of Sharon Lee and Steve Miller's singleton and other-than-Liaden work is at the bindery and should be delivered to SRM Publisher Galactic Headquarters by July 29. Mailing will then commence. We thank everyone for their patience.
Fledgling Reminder
If you are one of the very many generous people who supported the Fledgling online project by donating $25 or more, you will be receiving a book signed by the authors as an inadequate but sincere token of our thanks.
Baen's street date for Fledgling -- i.e., the day the book "ought" to be in bookstores -- is September 8. It may be that some bookstores will have it earlier. Because the subscriber books must be delivered to Lee and Miller from the Simon and Schuster warehouse, signed, then packed and mailed (by us), please remember that you will Almost Undoubtedly receive your book somewhat after the street date. We have 1200 subscriber books, more than *any* book pre-order from Meisha Merlin, and know from experience that these tasks take a significant chunk of time.
Again, thank you all for your interest, support, and patience.
Carpe Diem
Because WorldCon is almost upon us (10 days! eek!) and because the papers associated with Carpe Diem are . . .complex, not to say numerous, we will be posting that Ebay auction after (that's AFTER) we return and recuperate from Montreal. We will announce the auction via this list and in other online venues, when it goes live.
