Re: Sabriel
Date: 2009-08-27 09:40 pm (UTC)I liked many things about it -- the magical system, the world-building, and the general air of strangeness. I found the heroine slightly annoying and I wanted more depth to the characterizations. What I really wanted was her father's story, so perhaps I was a little disappointed in having to make do with Sabriel's instead.
So. I didn't dislike it, but I wasn't blown away, and don't feel particularly compelled to find the next one.
