Signed eight more cases today. . .

This is what eight cases of signed books looks like.  The cart is double-sided.

This is what's left to sign, still encased.

Another shot of the books that are left.  Sorry about the lighting.  The camera was having a hard time with the light and
the fact that everything in its range was approximately the same shade of brown.

Wow! Don't think I've ever even thought of the work involved with the signing/mailing process. But, as the consumer - it's worth it! Just finished the book; so very satisfying. You answered all those points raised on the discussion board; obviously you were monitoring our comments, noting our questions as just about all points have been clarified.
Now I just have to council myself to patience and wait for sequel, SALTATION.
Congrats again, and a big, huge, THANK YOU.

I suspect that your (plural) hands need a rest after that!

Good news at a local B&N

I stopped by one of my local Barnes & Noble stores this morning to check out how they were displaying FLEDGLING and ...ta da...they weren't. That's because all the copies they had gotten in originally have sold. They reordered day before yesterday (5 copies this time) and they should be in by next week. I'll check back then and also check the other B&N near the library where I volunteer.

Fledgeling

I found Fledgeling in B&N in Huntsville on Sunday. Not with the new publications, so I was beginning to worry that they wouldn't have it. But it was on the shelves under L, at least. I am visiting from the UK for a week, and would have been bitterly disappointed if I had had to go home without a copy.

I have been reading pretty solidly since Sunday lunchtime, and am very much enjoying the book - and seeing how it has developed and tightened up since the draft.

Now I shall look forward to Saltation.
