Grumble...
Tuesday, October 12th, 2004 11:13 amSo, yesterday, after staring at the screen, and staring at the screen and STARING at the screen and producing maybe 200 grudging, stilted words, I conceded that there was a Problem, that the Problem was back in Chapter Seven and that there was to be No Going Forth until I'd straightened it out.
Pfui.
Printed out Chapter Seven and the relevant paragraphs from the preceding volume, and retired with them and Sabu to the living room couch. After much study, located the kink. Dithered because I like the scene as it exists and didn't want to deconstruct the whole dern thing and rebuild. OTOH, it set up a situation which is flatly wrong. Finally fired up Sabu and started a whole new chapter, using some -- ACK!
[Excuse me for a moment. Scrabble is behind the monitor, pulling on the speaker cords and generally being a hazard to herself and humankind.]
Ahem.
...started a whole new chapter, and found I'm able to use some of the Good Bits in the existing chapter. Got a solid 700 words written before
kinzel came home from chess and I called it a night.

Wind and heavy rain overnight; lots of leaves stripped right off the trees outside my side office window. The rain seems to have gone out for coffee at the moment, but the wind's making up for it. Pretty weather!

Date: 2004-10-12 09:31 pm (UTC)Weather sounds heavenly. I have the A/C on just because I'm feeling feverish, but that could be what I just carefully constructed for my LJ page--the clip scared me white (as in, I only had a couple of silver hairs last night...now, I've got more.)
It was upper 60s and lovely this AM, with enough wind to stir the wind chimes. Hope we get more...
