1. I must need get with mine partner regarding the costs, not just monetary, attending a Liaden...call it a dictionary for now. Watch this space.

2. As reported elsewhere, I have here in my hand the mass market paperback edition of Fledgling. It's pretty. Be sure to order it in from your favorite local indie bookstore, or to buy online from B&N. As always, the DRM-free ebook edition is available from Baen Webscriptions.

3. I note with...sorrow...that the Macmillan links are not yet live on Amazon.com

3A. I note with even more sorrow that Amazon has, excepting the...alarmingly un-savvy posting in the Kindle forum last evening, not made any attempt to Explain Itself.

4. Mozart visited his Good Friend Dr. Slack this morning, and has drops for his drippy eye. He is Not Pleased. But the eye seems to be responding to treatment.

5. I seem to have lost my voice.

Hi
I just checked and the Fledgling mmpb is also available for pre-order at Borders.com (which, for those of you who haven't looked at the site in several years, is no longer associated with Amazon).
Let's not forget that there are several big brick and mortar chains out there as well as all the fabulous indies.

If Mozart is anything like my cats, Mozart does not consider Dr. Slack his "Good Friend".

Also, thanks for the update for the availability of Fledgling. I need to pass it along to our club members. The readers group generally tries to read at least one book by our GoH prior to the convention.

Did you look under the fridge for your voice? Isn't that where everything ends up once the cats get hold of it?

Losing your voice sucks. I should know; I'm going into Day Three and not enjoying myself. Especially considering that I talk for a living... Fnarrr.

I'm sorry about your voice. I've been there and it isn't fun. Hopefully it's not accompanied by sore throat.

Hmmm... two of my friends are now mute. I wonder if I'm a (virtual) carrier.
