Late Autumn in Maine and Atlantic Canada
Damp, cool, windy. St. John is a pleasant city, very walkable. 'round one corner it reminds me eerily of Baltimore; 'round another corner, it's very like Maine. I've said before that Maine and New Brunswick ought to run away together, and the match seems more apt every time I visit.

I feel lucky to live where I do. The results of our elections in Washington were, on the whole, what I wanted to see. (I would have liked Dave Ross, the independently Democratic radio talk show host to have beaten Dave Reichert, the Republican King County Sheriff, but I don't live in their district, so couldn't add my vote. And Dave R is back on the radio this week, so that's a plus.)
