Can I ask if you liked "Major Pettigrew's last stand"? I've just finished reading it, and enjoyed it, but I'm not raving (well, not about the book, anyway!).

I found the Major pleasant. Not a rave read, but I'll recommend it to folks who want a quiet read with reasonable characterization.

Thanks, I thought so too. Not quite as good as the Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society (which made me cry) but nice enough.

MOUSE AND DRAGON...book read in 2010 <g>

Just wanted to let you know I picked up a copy of MOUSE AND DRAGON at my local Barnes & Noble yesterday (28 May) after calling to see if it was in yet. They were still unloading that day's deliveries from the cartons but a very helpful sales associate dug around and found me a copy so I drove right over and bought it. The others should be on the shelves today but if the Reston, VA has their copies, other B & N stores probably have theirs too. A treat to carry us through the long weekend. Hope you and Steve are having a wonderful time at the conference.
