Where was I?

Right. Picking nits along chapters 11 through 18. The rewrites are done through 17. Chapter 18, alas, is a wash and I'm starting over from the begining. I may be able to use some stuff from Chapter-18-that-was, but if so it'll be in a Highly Changed state.

Have I mentioned that all this needing to go back and tweak, pinch, and turn is awfully tedious? Hard to build up a head of steam, or feel like I'm accomplishing anything much.

On the mundane side of things, we did some much-needed grocery shopping today, and got to hold an SFBC edition of Balance of Trade in our hands, which was Most Cool. Seems that we've re-stocked the larder just in time -- the weather ghods are calling for snow flurries tonight.

Despite cloudy skies, we did have a bit of aurora last night -- pale green sheets rippling down the sky. Sigh...

Last night's aurora looked too damn much like thin clouds, at least around here. That's the problem with light-scatter in The Big City.

Serious envy about that aurora--I may have seen it once, but it also might have been a lightning storm above heavy clouds...

Also envious about any book progress. Two nights ago, I dreamed the first scene of the new book, and it slipped away like sand in the am. I think it will come back, but right now, the last workshop ms is staring me in the face--and the one hour synopsis writing class (can I condense it? Inquiring minds want to know!)

Today is the best day to do it--forward....
