Short form:  Carousel Tides has been sent off into the world in style, and!  I had a blast.

Photos follow.

We were on the top floor at the Sea View, and the views were spectacular:

As if this wasn’t enough fun, we had a party, too!

Carousel Tides Launch at Beggar's Ride

Carousel Tides Launch at Beggars Ride

Steve Miller, Leith ter'Meulen, Sharon Lee

We had folks come up to Old Orchard Beach from such far-flung places as Alabama, Virginia, Maryland (by proxy), New York, Massachusetts, and South Portland.  Jeanne at Beggar’s Ride was an elegant hostess, the buffet from Roma was to die for, I got to talk to a lot of people and signed bunches of books.

A success, by anyone’s accounting.

Home now, car unloaded, cats placated.  Tired.

Thanks again to everyone who took time to come to the party — and a blessed Samhain to all.

Glad it went well -- Ann said it was lovely, and that you looked elegant. She also said that Beggar's Ride was the perfect venue.

Thanks for the pics. Your top looks wonderful on you! It's good to just *see* Steve.

Picked up my copy of Carousel Tides at local B&N Saturday. It was showing up as "in stock" in the computer, but was not on the shelves. There 2 copies had just arrived and they had to retrieve one for me from the receiving area. Hopefully they will now reorder. I stopped reading my other books to jump right in, and am very happy with it. =)

We're sorry we couldn't make it. Even though we know the *spoilers* already.

Good to see Steve vertical . . .

It really was a perfect location, and the food was excellent. But it really was the company that made it special. Your fans are fascinating people (no real surprises there) Thanks for throwing such a fun party. I had a wonderful mini-vacation.

Glad the book launched in style. Thanks for the photos. New England is my favorite part of the US. Am out here in UT due to asthma. Also here is good for a large animal shelter. No fleas and no heartworm. With lots of sand, easy to clean up outside areas. Glad cats are placated. That's very important I understand when one comes home to cats. Dogs are much more forgiving.

I just got my copy! W00T! Now, we'll see how long it takes me to read it, given the 2 1/2 year old and 6 month old.... But I'm stoked! Wish I could have been there and met you - sadly, I live in the OTHER Portland.

I'm glad to hear that the launch went well. I wish I could have been there.

I managed to read about a third of Carousel Tides on my new Kindle while working at the polls yesterday. I could have finished it if only those pesty voters hadn't kept coming in to interupt my reading. ::grin::
