Date: 2010-11-12 12:33 am (UTC)FWIW, one of the friends is the person who first gave me Partners in Necessity and Plan B for my birthday and got me hooked, and the other is a long term fan who couldn't make it to Penguicon (as she was in Italy on vacation), but sent her well loved copies of the first 2 books with me to be signed there.

Date: 2010-11-12 09:15 am (UTC)Only $6 for postage to the UK, though? That doesn't seem enough (not that I want it to be more, but as I recall the postage last time was a lot more than that).

Date: 2010-11-12 09:34 am (UTC)Sometimes the Paypal servers lags. You just have to be patient waiting for the next phase of your Paypal transaction. If you are on Firefox the progress bar indicate it's working even through you suddenly pops back to you previous page. Think the Paypal servers are under capacity for the work load. Encounter this a lot when completing eBay transactions recently in North America.
