Who has a good great recipe for oatmeal cookies they'd like to share? I had my grandmother's, but just now when I went looking for it -- it's gone. Argh!
I love these cookies. (http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/raisin-pecan-oatmeal-cookies-recipe/index.html) The oats needed are the classic Mother's Oats. Not the instant and not the Irish needs-to-cook-for-half-an-hour oats, but the ones in-between.
I will add that toasting the nuts ahead of time does make a world of difference. And pecans taste better, at least to me, than do walnuts.
