For those who have not seen it elsewhere, Parris McBride has, after 31 years, made an honest man of George RR Martin. This comes on the heels of news that Ru Emerson and Doug have wed, after a 34-year courtship.

Please join me in wishing these impetuous children the fullest sampling of joy possible, now and for the rest of their days.

When my brother and SIL announced plans to wed, after 11 years, my uncle, with a droll little smile, said, "Now, Crispin, don't be hasty!"

But these folks are downright DELIBERATE. Almost on a seemly Clutch Turtle timescale.

Wasn't familiar with George RR Martin. CAn you believe it. He's super famous. Looked him up on Wiki. Has very long whiskers.

Mystery: As for Ru Emerson not familiar with her either. She's also super famous having created Xena the Warrior Princess. But....biographical snippets on Amazon and here and there on Google list Doug as her husband as long ago as 1995 and say the couple lives in OR.

We're figuring that you actually know these people. So....
