PSA: Electrik Books

This posting made pre-caffeine. You have been warned.
1. Yes, many of the stories in the echapbooks currently being uploaded are available from Webscriptions. No one has ever made a secret of this.
2. I have not lost my reason. I am, yes, uploading chapbooks to BN and Amazon that are already in the Webscription bundles. I'm doing this on purpose.
3. I will, eventually, get around to sorting out which stories in which Webscription bundle are in which chapbooks. Or maybe somebody with more time on their hands would like to do that for those who aren't good at sorting. Every day, I see helpful people pointing out a wiki entry and other places where this information can be found. If these sources are lacking in some way, I'm sorry. But, yanno, the chapbooks being uploaded at the moment aren't going to evaporate if you don't download them right now.
4. Eventually, there will be website for Pinbeam Books, where all the chapbooks will be listed, with links to where they are on sale. If the time-rich person from 3, above, does come up with a list, that would also, with their permission, be posted on the site.
5. Eventually, I'll be posting echapbooks to other vendors. I'll be doing that on purpose, too.
Here ends the PSA. I trust there are no questions.

Date: 2011-04-27 02:35 pm (UTC)Yes, this exactly.
I personally believe that our authors should be allowed to govern the publication of their work as they see fit. Period. End of statement. And although I own multiple copies of every thing I can get my hands on, if I had a Kindle or Nook or some other "electrik"book reader I would buy them again.
