This posting made pre-caffeine. You have been warned.

1. Yes, many of the stories in the echapbooks currently being uploaded are available from Webscriptions. No one has ever made a secret of this.

2. I have not lost my reason. I am, yes, uploading chapbooks to BN and Amazon that are already in the Webscription bundles. I'm doing this on purpose.

3. I will, eventually, get around to sorting out which stories in which Webscription bundle are in which chapbooks. Or maybe somebody with more time on their hands would like to do that for those who aren't good at sorting. Every day, I see helpful people pointing out a wiki entry and other places where this information can be found. If these sources are lacking in some way, I'm sorry. But, yanno, the chapbooks being uploaded at the moment aren't going to evaporate if you don't download them right now.

4. Eventually, there will be website for Pinbeam Books, where all the chapbooks will be listed, with links to where they are on sale. If the time-rich person from 3, above, does come up with a list, that would also, with their permission, be posted on the site.

5. Eventually, I'll be posting echapbooks to other vendors. I'll be doing that on purpose, too.

Here ends the PSA. I trust there are no questions.

I'm not that time-rich person (sigh!), but I've noticed the duplication. And you know what? I don't care! It does kind of irk me when I buy the same book in paper more than once (and yes, I have), but I often buy a book in hardcover and electrons on purpose. Years of buying Baen Webscriptions have inured me to having multiple electronic copies of a book on my hard drive.

Most importantly, though, I'm finding all these stories well worth another read.

I'll reformat the list by story over lunch.

Might check the wiki entry over here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liaden_universe while you're at it -- or just reformat the list from the short story table. If you find errors, feel free to let me know, or fix it yourself (one of the advantages of wikipedia).

Thank you very much!

I'll copy it into a top post, so people can find it easier.

Thanks! This prompted me to poke around wikipedia -- the table is now sortable, but I have to admit, it does funny things when you sort it (the columns that explain what's where don't deal very well with sorting). Something to fix later, I guess.

Hang in there, and I'm sorry people are snapping at your heels. Me, I'm just glad to be able to get a legit copy of "The Weatherman".

I have the webscriptions version and I have several of the chapbooks in physical copies, and I am happily buying the individual chapbooks as you upload them to Amazon.

I don't see the problem myself. But then some people would complain that snow is cold.

Yes, this exactly.

I personally believe that our authors should be allowed to govern the publication of their work as they see fit. Period. End of statement. And although I own multiple copies of every thing I can get my hands on, if I had a Kindle or Nook or some other "electrik"book reader I would buy them again.

I have signed copies of the paper chapbooks, and am putting copies on my Kindle as quickly as I can. I also have a few through Baen webscriptions. Amazon is just easier to download when I'm short of time. I read the descriptions before I purchase anything. Your stories are unforgettable, in my experience, so if I have a duplicate it is because I want one, not by mistake. I will have time next week to work on the list if someone doesn't beat me to it. The Wikipedia page has a pretty complete table, with story by chapbook, and whether it's in kindle or Webscriptions compilation.
whoever is updating it has it up to Starblaze.

ya, I got a couple of duplicates too

Ya know what? It doesn't matter. And, if it did matter, I should've been more careful. Nu?

For pre-caffeine, that was a very civilized post.

Have I said lately that you are made of awesome? Consider it said.

no questions here anymore, thanks =) I will say thanks for providing these--I finally got around to getting the collections from Webscriptions and will be getting the ones not contained therein once I figure out which format I want them in most.
