(My first civilian job was writing software to automate tracking book publishing end-to-end from concept to royalties.) The code for distributing royalties was proof that book publishers hate authors.

Date: 2011-11-21 11:16 pm (UTC)While I am sure Mitchell is quite right about the industry, he does himself (and other authors) a disservice writing this letter when he is on a manic binge. Really, really manic! It makes it too easy to excuse the letter as coming from a mentally ill person. Unfortunate, that.
