What did you think of "Stealing the Elf-King’s Roses"? I'd never heard of it until I saw it on your list. The blurb at Barnes & Noble makes it sound like a sloshy 'first time writer' sort of thing, but I've read Duane's "Tale of the Five" and "Wizard" books so I know that she's not that.

I usually enjoy Diane's work, but . . .Roses frustrated the heck out of me. A great many people adore it, and I wanted to like it, but it didn't work for me at all.
