Still not up to speed -- which wasn't helped by the fact that I had to go back and read Big Chunks of what went before to refresh my memory. Sword of Orion kept trying to influence the story, and we cannot, no really, have that.

I wonder, though, if there's an element of having to find your way back into the heightened state of mind; that can be a hard one to just jump back into.
