I'm really enjoying these postings to the splinter universe.

I love Gordy and it's nice to see him at home.

Story: I first began the Liaden universe with Conflict of Honors, in the Partners in Necessity omnibus. I ... wasn't wild about the first few chapters, where Priscilla was shafted by her previous ship, and I wasn't sure I wanted to keep reading if all the Liaden culture was going to be like that. But it had come highly recommended, so I kept going. And then Priscilla came aboard the Dutiful Passage and was met by a harried, slightly-tardy Gordy and I was absolutely and completely hooked.

This chapter has a whole different feel from the other chapters.
I like it - but if this was the leading chapter, this would be a completely different book.... More like Fledgling or Trade books

I also liked the previous chapter.

The only stuff I haven't liked in this not-a-book were the out takes.

The chapters that were out takes, weren't bad, but In-my-humble-opinion, they didn't fit what else has been told about Val Con.

I have sent, and would still send $$ to get this book actually published.
Of course that would be if Madam-the-editor would be willing to take a chance on a book "out of sequence".

I did always wonder if Pricilla would actually get an heir the Liaden way? Or adopt, if that was allowed in your world.
