Wednesday, June 28th, 2006 09:58 am...or at least one hopes so. The amended manuscript is now in the hands of Mine Editor, who will no doubt get back to me if things are still screwed up in need of clarification.
In the meantime, however...
I'm free!!!
Yes, free to do the filing, catch up on SRM bookkeeping, excavate the rug in my office, do the dishes -- and mess around with my LJ settings.
The action just never stops around here.
For those who keep track of such things -- this is our second day without rain (though the National Weather Service is promising me thunderstorms later in the day. We Shall See.). Also, the elm tree appears to have Completely Expired. I'm baffled: it put out green leaves, and then -- suddenly! without warning! -- the leaves just dried up and turned brown. This happened in the course of a couple weeks. I didn't know trees could die that fast.
And here's hoping for a cool summer, because I don't even wanna think about how hot the kitchen is going to get without that tree to shade it.
