Sigh. Went outside to do more with the roses -- gardening is healthy, right? I did not Overdo. I did not Fall or Twist Weird or Pick Up Wrongly.

And my back hurts like a sonofagun.

Well that sure stinks! I hope it unkinks fast.

(Despite weight lifting and yada yada, mine sometimes goes out, and the pain is UN-bee-lievable. I think I did something to it many decades ago, when forced to wear high heels while carrying heavy trays waitressing.)

Had to result to muscle relaxants last night. Much improved this morning, but not where I'd like to be with a long train trip in my very near future.

High heels are Evil. One of the things I So Do Not Miss from day job land.

In one more month, I'll be the same age as my mother was when she slipped a disk. I plan to be very, very careful over the next twelve months, and if two of the dogs start fighting, I will not attempt to hold one back with my foot while clutching the collar of the other one (which is what did Mom in). They can just chew each other to bits while I stand by wringing my hands and yelling ineffectually.

Me, I popped through a windshield a quarter-century ago, so I know only too well what went wrong with my back, and what Not To Do to annoy it. I thought.
