Back from the vet's for the second time today. Dulsey broke three bones in her foot. The leg is splinted and wrapped, and she is ensconced, not very happily, in a medium-sized-dog crate on loan from a friend.

The vet suggests we keep her confined for two weeks. The vet does have a sense of humor.

Or the vet is sweetly optimistic. Fast healing vibes to Dulsey, and good luck to the two of you.

Sure hope she hasn't perfected any of those dramliza talents, like walking through wa........

oooooh! But you reported earlier that she was making attempts at doing just that (well, leaping into the sides of things). This is most disconcerting!

Ouch. That sounds awfully painful for everyone involved.

I'm in the second week of confinement with the Irish Wolfhound in an X-pen in my office, all day, all night. He's good with kitties. If we kept them in their respective confinements, do you think they might entertain each other instead of casting pathetic looks at us? Sigh.

Oh, no! What happened to Thor?

And Dulsey doesn't just languish and cast Pathetic Looks. Dulsey is a firm believer in the axiom, "If the kitten ain't happy, ain't nobody happy."

I have a too long post ready and needed to remember/look up how to do the lj cuts. Finally got it. Short story is he's in a padded bandage for an ulcerated hock. He's doing well, but how it got that way still has me steamed.

Thor just keeps HOPING every time I get up that THIS time we'll go for a long walk.

Ack, poor creatures (all of you); good thing this didn't happen while you were traveling. Is Scrabble gloating?

Perhaps the learning curve would flatten a bit if you installed emergency landing lights on the headboard?

Actually, she's not. She is Extremely Concerned that there is a cat being confined against her will and made to wear Weird Vet-Smelling Stuff on her leg. Scrabble is a realist; if it happened to Dulsey, it might happen to Other Cats.

I expect a letter from the regional rep, requesting a contract review...

Oh, this is going to be popular. Give her extra cuddles from all of us.
