Best laid plans and all like that

So, no; I didn't finish writing "Shadow Partner" today. Instead, I wrote Chapter Thirty-One of Saltation while Steve put out fires elsewhere. Also? Started the laundry. And! Will finish the day off big, by writing SRM consignment checks.
The glamour around here; we order it in by the pallet-load.
Hexapuma has now been with us for thirteen days and a smidge. He and Mozart seem to have come to an accommodation, though there are certain things that Mo still needs to Explain. Scrabble has not resigned herself to another Large Gray Cat in the house, a situation that is exacerbated by the fact that Hex is deaf in one ear and doesn't seem always to understand when the Pretty Lady is yelling at him. Matters are not helped by Scrabble insisting on running away, screaming. I feel certain that if she would stand her ground just once and whack him a good one right on his punkinhaid, Comprehension would dawn.
On a related note, we find that Hex enjoys Jackie Chan; he had a heckuva good time viewing "The Forbidden Kingdom" Friday night, as I did, mostly. Please remind me never to be a female love interest in a Chinese movie.
Tomorrow is Monday, alas. On the bright side, the details for the concert that have been consuming unreasonable amounts of my time for the last month is now over. I have things in queue behind it, but (here's hoping) none of the pending projects are as nerve-wracking as the concert thingy.
Well. *takes a breath* Maybe I'll finish "Shadow Partner" tomorrow night while Steve's at chess. Yeah, that's the ticket.

*devours chapter eagerly*
Date: 2008-10-26 10:25 pm (UTC)As for the glamour, I seem to be missing mine. Did it get put in with yours by mistake?
Re: *devours chapter eagerly*
Date: 2008-10-27 01:12 am (UTC)I hope not; we may never discover it!
Reminder!
Date: 2008-10-27 12:34 am (UTC):) I always try to be helpful.
On another note, is Hex's deafness in one ear metaphorical or actual?
Being partially deaf myself I'm interested. If actual is this something Maine coon cats are known for? Or did he just get lucky?
Re: Reminder!
Date: 2008-10-27 01:11 am (UTC)It is actual. He had a growth in one ear and in the process of excising it, he lost the hearing in that ear. Also, his head is tipped slightly to one side; another result of the operation.
Comprehension
