As of Right Now, there are only 114 copies of Saltation available to subscription. Procrastinators, this is the Hour.

"Hidden Resources" is still sitting here on the dining room table, aging. It will age some more tomorrow, as I'll be accompanying Steve to the hospital so that he may rejoice in an outpatient Procedure.

Some, but not all, of the filing has been done.

Yes, we're still mailing Fledgling subscription books (but not tomorrow), and we can see the train end of the tunnel.

I just re-read our own [livejournal.com profile] jhetley's Dragon's Bones, coming from SRM Publisher this very month, and it's still really good. Y'all can pre-order it now. Go on; you know you want to.

I need to do the dishes.

It's an interesting thought, but pursuant to the recent discussion on the Friends of Liad list, perhaps not easily implemented. Our town library does go through donations first and if a book is new and well-reviewed and/or an addition to a thin collection (such as the science fiction section), they will put it on the shelf. The rest go to the Friends of the Library Sale.

Other libraries, ref. the conversation on the FoL list, apparently put all donations into the sale; I've also heard of libraries that refuse donations from non-patrons.

Best thing would be for someone who wishes to give a book to a library is to take delivery of the book themselves and donate according to local custom.

I know that doesn't help you out much, situated as you are.
