The Hickman cover for Agent of Change was superb, I thought. Edger almost looked hasty.

I also rather like the Herring covers. Did he do the covers for the Ace reissues?

And Donato....what's not to like about a Donato cover? :-)

Herring did do the covers for the Ace reissues, some with changes, some without. I like the Herring covers and Donato grew on me, although no one looks the way I think they should. It's amazing how one's mental picture can be influenced by what one sees. For me, Aelliana will always have the waif-like quality of Herring's covers. OTOH, I had already formed a mental image for Jethri, based on reading the story in chapbook form. So, Donato's cover, while beautiful, didn't match that image.
