Choose Rolanni's Companion

Steve and I usually have a Traveling Companion with us on trips.  For the upcoming book tour, I have three veteran Companions to choose from, but I'm having trouble deciding who to bring.

Should it be. . .

Hassan the Assassin?


Harwil the platypus?


Or. . .


Sly Fox?

You need to keep Hassan the Assassin close to hand, who knows what mischief he might cause if left alone at home.

I think Harvil would be easiest to pack, but I'd like you both to have a protector on your trip, and Hassan seems to fill that bill the best. All, I'm sure, would be wonderful traveling companions. Safe Journeys! Kathy

What? No Norbear? Who has the most experience? Are you going into hostile territory? Will you be needing protection or just companionship? We don't know anything about these characters; how can we choose?

Hassan looks cute, soft and cuddly. However, there must be a great backstory if he/she/it has become an assassin. I vote for deadly while appearing harmless. (Hassan obviously is harmless to you.)

I like Hassan the best, perhaps because he looks like just the right size handful to carry along. Now watch, it will turn out that he's much larger than I'm guessing.

I'm voting for Harwil. I think he (she?) is steady, supportive, and wonderfully loving. And if your back gets sore from too much standing, will be happy to serve as lumbar support.

I just had to vote for sly fox. Though Hassan almost won me over. :) Any of the three would be great companions.

One never knows when having an assassin near would come in handy, so if I must pick one, then Hassan gets my vote. Though I'd love to vote for all three--you could be like the Beastmaster and have animal companions to assist during every known emergency situation!

I chose fox because if you leave Sly Fox behind, you will return to trouble in the Cat Farm and Confusion Factory.
